I’m thrilled to share the news that I will be performing with my group “Thursday Morning Poets” for Edgar Allan Poe’s 214th birthday at his last permanent home, the Edgar Allan Poe Cottage in Fordham on January 19th, 2023.

The Edgar Allan Poe Cottage will be open all day on January 19th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a special event to commemorate Poe’s birthday! Join The Bronx County Historical Society and local poets and authors for a day of tours and readings of Poe’s poetry and original poetry and stories. The event is free and open to the public. The Poe Cottage is located at 2640 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY.
Edgar Allan Poe Macabre Birthday Bash!
The event will include readings by members of the New York City Poetry group Thursday Morning Poets, including Beth Evans, Bruce Grossberg, Isabella Calisi-Wagner, Megha Sood, Nicolette Barsamian, and Queens Poet Laureate and Fellow of the Academy of American Poets, Maria Lisella; Mariposa Fernandez, an award-winning Bronx poet, and artist; a reading from “The Maddening,” an upcoming thriller based on Poe’s works, by Paul Thaler, a retired journalist based in The Bronx, and a filming session with YouTuber Darren Hinton, of Play NYCe, a channel devoted to chronicling the history of New York City’s parks!
