As we are entering the second half of this year, I’m mostly done with my bunch of #booktour events. June has been more about slowing down and finishing almost 40 events of my book tour. The highlight of the month has been the selection of my #poetrycollection as one of the six #finalists in the 16th National Indie Excellence Book Awards.
I was also thrilled to be the #ThirdPlace winner in the #StateLevel Poetry contest by #NAMINJ. June also brought one of my ambitious projects, Life in Quarantine by Stanford University to its closure and we celebrated the milestone with a fabulous poetry reading sponsored by CESTA, Stanford University.
I’m thankful to Katie Schneider for inviting me to the FUMFA Poets & Writers Live ( Franklin University MFA Program) poetry reading along with the talented and amazing Victoria Buitron. The other notable reading event was the summer reading hosted by Gerald Wagoner I was honored to share the space with Patricia Carragon, Roxanne Hoffman, and David Francis. It was a beautiful evening spent in the company of poets and friends.
Looking forward to a relaxing summer in the company of poetry and family.
