Poetry Reading for the 13th Annual Words for Birds 2021 organized by Mitchell Lake Audubon center on April 24, 2021 #NationalPoetryMonth2021

I’m excited to be share the recording of the poetry reading  to celebrate the 13th Annual Words for Birds Event. The event was co-hosted by Stone in the Stream/Roca en el Rio environmental writers and artists group, Mitchell Lake Audubon Center, and Deceleration. I’m really thankful to Marisol Cortez ( a writer and an environmental justice activist) for giving me this wonderful opportunity to generate awareness about our winged companions.

The event took place on two days ( April 24 and April 25 2021) . You can hear me reading my three poems “Nobody Knows What the Raven Says”, “Solidarity in Grief” and “Blue Eye of the Magpie”, Published in the “Paws Healing the Earth” anthology by River Paws Press at the time mark “59:14” in the Saturday Recording here.

The event was MC’d by ecowriter/Deceleration co-editor Marisol Cortez, and featured:

Happy National Poetry Month!!
