Catch up

Sometimes I think my mind is aging

faster than my body

those thoughts racing in my mind

like a mouse running through the trapped maze

waking me up at 3am in the morning

riddled with the mystery of life

my mind has a mind of its own

like that of a tear

on its preordained path

you can’t control those

trails though

they are born from you

these ideas ricochet

between the dream and reality

I’m that bent twisted clock

of Dali surreal dream

where time eats time

Sometimes I fear what if

the mind gets entangled in these thoughts

and the body catches up to a still mind.

What if?
