Come read my contribution to the Sexual exploitation series going on at the Whisper and the Roar. Come be a part of the revolution.
This poem is part of the series on the Global Exploitation of Women.
- Rape is a severely under-reported crime with surveys showing dark figures of up to 91.6% going unreported.
- A United Nations statistical report compiled from government sources showed that more than 250,000 cases of rape or attempted rape were recorded by police annually. The reported data covered 65 countries.

Come read my poem on Whisper and the Roar to see if you can handle the pain.
If I drink up all your sorrow
will you be good as new
if I smoke all your worries
in a puff
will you stay alive
for a few hours more
if I scrape all your scars
and wash up all your pain
Will you believe
in what I have to stay
Glistening in the light
Will we be together again?
if I wash that blood of my sins
off my palms,
Will you give me company for life?
and a scream
if I let all my heart out
Will you hold my hands
till the end of time
tie that holy knot?
I have heard many
and faces and names
I have seen enough
You are as weak as they come
till you see my gaping wound
Rising high on your ego
