Reblogging my first blog post.. it brings back so many memories.

Megha's World

My undying love for nature and immense love for dancing in the rain and getting drenched has inspired me to write the following poem.

rainRain, a magical experience
It washes your sorrow and pain
It gathers up sweet memories in the bowl you left outside
It makes you remember the sweet taste of the raindrops
and the feel of the fingers counting the drops on your skin
It quenches the thirst of your soul
and stirs up the emotions of long gone love
It is a healer, a tourniquet
and sometimes it scrapes you bleed a little more
Oh! the divine lords of the sky
Oh! the merciful
Bring me the showers which cleanse me once and for all
Washes my sins and regrets
Fills my wounds with the oh! so calming drops
and release me from all this pain.
Bring me all the joy of jumping in the puddles

Rainbow Dreams

Reblogging in response to the contest on

Megha's World

chris-barbalis-348804I dream in color
I dream in Red
My flight is all dipped in blues
And my blushes are dripped in red

I dream in color
I dream in red

My warmth and hugs are bright as yellow
My smiles have hues of orange
My kisses are all painted with red
My hugs are oozing with crimson

I dream in color
I dream in red

My rides on swings are strokes of brown
The silliness and innocence, a part of my town
We are covered in all the colors from dusk till dawn
Till the last ray of the light hit the town

I dream in color
I dream in red

All my hopes and dreams are hues of green
My crushes and infatuations are so violet
Trying to hide the emotions
Trying to solve it

I dream in color
I dream in red
