Member of Asia Pacific Writers and Translators (APWT)

I’m delighted to share the news that I’ve joined Asia Pacific Writers and Translators as a member.

Asia Pacific Writers & Translators Inc. (APWT) was originally an informal network known as the Asia-Pacific New Writing Partnership. APWT began in 2005 with seed funding from the Vice Chancellor of Griffith University and was co-founded by Jane Camens and Nury Vittachi. It was conceived as a broker of collaborative literary research projects with other universities in the Asia Pacific. It grew into a think tank of individuals rather than institutions, though some held senior academic posts.

While APWT is registered in Australia, the newly elected (2019) APWT Management Committee (MC) features an experienced team of academics, arts, and cultural workers, writers, and translators from around the globe. The APWT MC meets online on a regular basis and consults the international advisory board for advice when needed. Nominations for participation in the MC are called for in advance of the AGM.
