List of Publications/Events/Mentions for the month of February 2022

The month of February brought me indescribable joy coupled with ultimate dream for any emerging poet or author, which is to plan the book tour for their first full length collection. With immense love and support from my network of literary communities, I was able to plan 20 different events both personal and virtual in nature, for the promotion and marketing of my debut full length poetry collection “My Body Lives Like a Threat”. I’m so thrilled to share this book of mine carrying the message of love, equality and respect in this world bringing it a bit closer to your hearts and soul.

Notable publications in this month were in the esteemed journals such as Burrow Journal edited by Philip Hall, London Berlin based Visual Verse and the colorful Rainbow Poetry journal edited by Roxanne Hoffman and  Jack Cooper.  In the series of the book tour, I was honored to share the poems from my book at various virtual book events such as When Women Speak , CAPS Collective, Book Talk with Waheeda Hussain. Thanks so much to Neelam Saxena for giving her platform for this event.

One of the esteemed publications was my inclusion in the brillaint anthology “Re-Imagine America” by Vagabond Press. The book was nationally launched in the Wende Museum of the Cold War as part of the 2nd Culvar Book Festival. I was part of the International Virtual Poetry Reading where I was joined by my poetry friends across the globe. Honored to share the space with David Daphy, Chad Parantua, Eric Lee Freedman, Jerry Pendergast, Pilar Rodriguez, Mark Lipman and many more. The highlight of the month was the arrival of the author’s copies from FlowerSong Press. Unboxing the copies and sharing the joy with the world fills with this immeasurable joy.

I’m looking forward to more joy and learning in the coming months!!
