December has been the month of new beginnings and looking back with immense love and gratitude I received from my creative family of poets and writers. The highlight of the month was my appearance on the Wednesday Night Poetry as featured Poet alongside JC Poet Laureate, Rescue Poetix. The virtual and in-person show hosted by Kai Coggin is the longest virtual poetry reading show in the country. I also recorded my first ever AWP Panel for the forthcoming conference in March 2022 alongside esteemed panelists and moderator Kalpna Singh Chitnis.
In continued support of my upcoming full-length poetry collection “My Body Lives Like a Threat” by FlowerSong Press, I am honored to share the advanced praise written by Anne Casey, Candice Louisa Daquin, and Lucinda J Clark.
Among the notable publications, I’m extremely honored to be part of the anthology “Black Fire This Time ” by Willow Books curated and edited by Kim Macmillon. It’s an honor to share the space with the luminaries of the lit community. Looking forward to its publication in Feb 2022.
In addition to this, my poems also became part of the December Newsletter “NOW” of FAO ( Food and Agricultural Organization of North America) in honor of the World Food Day 2021 and also the New York Public Library ezine ” Voice from Across the NYPL”. In the category of Radio shows, I was thrilled to share my views and my future projects with the host and founder of “Divas That Care Network”, Candace Gish. My creative works also became part of the anthologies such as “Abrazos”, a tenth-year anniversary anthology featuring the works of Martin Espasa, Sam Hamill, Ethelbert Miller, W.S Merwin, and so on. Also was also featured in the “Pandemic of Violence” by North of Oxford alongside Chad Parantue, Susana H Case, and many more.
The Medusa Project anthology also got its share of press mentioned in the NJ-based Arts Maven and the Singapore-based Press outlet for getting selected as one of the digital payloads for the LunarCodex Project. Thanks to Dr. Samuel Peralta for making me part of this historical project.
The month ended with my acceptance in the Panorama International Literary Festival 2022 which has already garnered attention in the media. A month-long virtual literary festival featuring the writers and thinkers across the globe sharing their thoughts about the profound topic of celestial void and its influence on their creative works. Thankful to Johanna Devadavayu for making me part of this.
As always, my heart is full of gratitude and love towards my brilliant and wonderful literary family for always supporting and encouraging me.
Here’s hoping for a great and inspiring poetic new year in 2022!!
