October has been a month of shedding the layers of self-quarantine and isolation and going out and meeting people in person for events, festivals, etc. October has also been a milestone month this year as it was the publication month for my first chapbook “My Body Is Not an Apology” by Finishing Line Press. I was thrilled to share the #unboxingvideo of my author copies with my friends and family from the lit community and was overwhelmed with the warmth and support. My happiness knew no bounds when my #chapbook was trending at no 5 in the Asian American Poetry under New Releases on Amazon.com.
I was blessed to be part of the Arts and Poetry festival this month namely Paterson Poetry Festival, Newark Arts Festival also the Hartford Book Festival, which was virtual for my part. Amongst the notable publications, I’m thankful to Maria for publishing a promotion for my chapbook in the July_September Issue of International Writers Journal. Also thanks to the Poet Laureate of Brookline, Massachusetts(2017-20), Zvi A Sesling for giving me space amongst the esteemed featured poets in the Fall edition of the Muddy Poetry Review. I also was featured in the Poetry Podcast hosted and founded by the brilliant Uk based Damian Donelly called “Eat The Storms ‘.
EIC and co-founder of Poets Wear PradaPress, Roxanne Hoffmann was kind enough to feature my poetry reading on her #podcast and the highlight of the month was the acceptance of our event “Creative Activism in Words & Action: Writers & Activists at the United Nations” got accepted for the AWP22 Conference.
November brings a new wave of excitement as start working towards the #publication of my debut #fulllengthpoetry collection “My Body Lives Like a Threat” coming out by FlowerSong press. The press is managed by the former McAllen, Texas Poet Laureate and Founder of the Valley International Poetry Festival (VIPF), Edward Viduarre.
Looking forward to an exciting and poetic November!!!
Happy Poetry!!

I’m a mother of a smart and energetic seven-year-old. I started expressing myself creatively since the last two years. Since then I have been continuously inspired by events in my life and around me which has helped me in penning my thoughts.
I’m an avid reader, loves to sing, an ardent lover of poetry and sometimes can scribble few lines too. Loves to dance in the rain, have an undying love for nature, can watch the beautiful sunset for hours. Love to kiss and hug my loved ones.
I have worked in the IT field for almost a decade as a manager, worked crazy hours and traveled around the world. In that busy schedule, I never got the time to creatively express my thoughts. Now every time I finish a poem, free verse anything it fills me with so much happiness and excitement and a feeling to have created something of my own. I’m planning to post at least one creation of mine weekly.
Lastly, a million thanks to all who visit, like or follow my tiny bits of creation.
Every time you do that, I get to know one more beautiful person in my life and get the chance to see their creation too.
