I’m really excited to be part of this timely and purposeful anthology, based on raising awareness for the environmental issues, curated by Staffordshire Poet Laureate 2019-2022 Mel Wardle Woodend  for the Staffordshire Green Arts festival 2021.

My poem ” Mother of the Forest” has been selected to be included in the anthology and it added to my happiness to know that the title I suggested was also accepted as the title of the anthology.

Mel Wardle Woodend is Staffordshire Poet Laureate 2019-2022. She is a performance and published poet, who has written eight poetry books to date, including two dyslexia friendly children’s poetry books, her nature collection Natural Colours (2017), mental health collection Just a Thought (2019), and Thirty (2020) created during the Covid-19 pandemic lock down during the spring of 2020, and inspired by the daily prompts from National / Global Poetry Writing Month in April 2020.

Looking forward to its official virtual launch on Feb 17,2021 2pm EST. Details are in the flyer.

Happy Poetry!!
