It was an amazing poetic afternoon to be part of the Brownstone Poets Poetry Reading on Nov 21,2020 2-4pm EST as a featured poet alongside two of the brilliant and talented poets LA-based Joshua Corwin and OddBall Magazine EIC and Founder Chad Parenteau. Immensely grateful to EIC and founder Patricia Carragon and Roxanne Hoffman for giving me this opportunity. Thrilled to hear beautiful poetry recitation by Ron Bremner, Carrie Magnus Redna,Jeff Cottrill, JJ Stick. Ermire Mitre , David Dephy, C.C. Arshagra, Steven Koenig, Jack Cooper, and many more.
BrownStone Poets is a Brooklyn-based literary series inspiring Brooklyn since 2005.Open Mic with 2 to 4 featured readers. They also publish an annual anthology.
Chad Parenteau hosts Boston’s long-running Stone Soup Poetry series. His work has appeared in journals such as Résonancee, Boston Literary Magazine Queen Mob’s Tea-House, Cape Cod Poetry Review, Tell-Tale Inklings, Off The Coast, Ibbetson Street and Wilderness House Literary Review. He currently serves as Associate Editor of the online journal Oddball Magazine. His second collection, The Collapsed Bookshelf, has just been released.
Joshua Corwin, a Los Angeles native, is a neurodiverse, Pushcart Prize-nominated poet and Spillwords Press Publication of the Month winner. His debut poetry collection Becoming Vulnerable (2020) details his experience with autism, addiction, sobriety and spirituality. He has lectured at UCLA, read with 2013 US Inaugural Poet Richard Blanco, and performed at the 2020 National Beat Poetry Festival. His Beat poetry is to be anthologized alongside Ferlinghetti, Hirschman, Ford, Coleman and weiss (December 2020). He hosts the poetry podcast “Assiduous Dust” and teaches poetry to neurodiverse individuals and autistic addicts in recovery at The Miracle Project, an autism nonprofit.
