Between the thumb and the forefinger
where I’m counting and mapping your freckles
as my fingers slide
over your curves
and etches
a map of my universe
where
my soul
my love
my passion
finds solace,
And in every nook and corner of
your soul
I find shelter for my
darkness to hide
and dissolve in yours,
and they conjure up a new shade of grey
a perfect concoction of our
joys and sorrows,
a sip of which
leaves us
dangling between the
dreams and reality
a new dream of tomorrows,
a feeling of ecstasy,
a feeling of completeness,
which makes us whole
you and me
an epitome of venus,
That magical touch which puts
the moonlight to shame
erase and clears away
every shred of pain,
Between the thumb
and the forefinger is where, my love!
my whole world remains.

I’m a mother of a smart and energetic seven-year-old. I started expressing myself creatively since the last two years. Since then I have been continuously inspired by events in my life and around me which has helped me in penning my thoughts.
I’m an avid reader, loves to sing, an ardent lover of poetry and sometimes can scribble few lines too. Loves to dance in the rain, have an undying love for nature, can watch the beautiful sunset for hours. Love to kiss and hug my loved ones.
I have worked in the IT field for almost a decade as a manager, worked crazy hours and traveled around the world. In that busy schedule, I never got the time to creatively express my thoughts. Now every time I finish a poem, free verse anything it fills me with so much happiness and excitement and a feeling to have created something of my own. I’m planning to post at least one creation of mine weekly.
Lastly, a million thanks to all who visit, like or follow my tiny bits of creation.
Every time you do that, I get to know one more beautiful person in my life and get the chance to see their creation too.

…and between your thumb and forefinger, you hole the pen that writes the most beautiful poetry. I love that image, of counting and mapping freckles as if they are constellations of stars in which to hide our darkness. Also love the metaphor of becoming the epitome of Venus. As always, you write love so passionately.

Oh yes, it’s always buried there. The pain often comes from loss of love or when love is struggling. We cannot have sadness without happiness and cannot truly know or understand love unless we’ve had our hearts broken.

Oh my! Isn’t this so surreal and simply liberating? Love blossoms in the poem and I’m so impressed. Just romanticism and absolute tenderness. Keep writing dear friend. So so good. Peace and greetings from Sui generis 💛💛
