Parallel World

“What if you find your soul mate… at the wrong time?”

We are two broken pieces
two pieces of a lost puzzle
missing pieces of a jigsaw puzzle
suppose to complete the picture

We are floating around
in the endless universe
tied by a string
of invisible connection
missing the ends so far

Born out of the same star
sprinkled in the universe as
the dust
we are living and breathing
as separate souls
a miracle etched in time by far

A tug from you
and push from me
can bring us closer and near
we complete each other
and compliment each other in
every way
we finish each other sentences
joined at the hip
like Siamese twins they say

But forever I’m looking
for that starting point
which will bind us together
keep us forever that way

Alas! it’s a wishful thinking
a dying wish
a dream buried in sands forever
for soul mates born
in different times
and living in parallel worlds.

      1. Yes. We all feel like that. Things which are common among us and we don’t realise that, when someone weave that in words it gets widely accepted with amazement.
Its like feeling your heartbeat yourself for the first time. It was always there we just didn’t realised that yet.

  1. I am so drawn to this, and the concept of soulmates enriched by the same stardust is in one of my fave writes from last year “Kismet”.
