Tuesday Writing Prompt-“Winded Child”

In response to the Tuesday Prompt at GoDogGo cafe

some rapturous joys
unable to be replicated
childhood only comes once
robed in mud-soaked clothes

sweat and tears inseparable
inexplicable joys
unstoppable giggles
that breaks the skin of the darkest nights

those endless games in the gully
sweat-drenched clothes
I see a winded child
and the memories come
rushing at me.
a deluge of love.

  1. What a perfect capture of the wondrous memories of childhood and simple joys!! Loved those simple days and how easily we were entertained and found happiness! I feel sad for children now who have swapped out what I grew up with for electronic tech!! Bellissimo, Megha, Bellissimo!
