Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge: Tuesday, September 17, 2019

My response to the Tuesday challenge phrase– MY mother told. Do share yours

“My mother told me
that dreams are not made of the strong resolutions
and hard-hitting goals
but is nurtured by the soft hands with the filigree touch
which keep them warm in the cold winter nights
and gives them sustenance in the scorching summer days

My mother told me
that getting hardened by the atrocities of life
will not take you nearer to the goal
but smoothening and softening our rough edges
a kind smile
and a gentle look will glide you towards your goal.

My mother told me
that there are enough who can reach the destination
and can have loft goals and desires in life
but the one who does it with humility and with kindness
is the one
you should really adore.
