Poetry reading at Jersey City Writers “Of Mysts and Monsters” at West Gallery, NJ as part of Arts House Festival

So thrilled to be sharing the details of the yesterday poetry reading at the West Gallery, NJ. “Of Myths and Monsters” is just another one of the exciting happenings that took place during this JC Fridays as Jersey City Writers had an evening of readings featuring selected horror short stories and poems submitted by the local artists. The stories were inspired by their favorite myths, legends, fairy-tales, and folklore. A short trivia contest was also held during the event with prizes awarded.

My poem “Fresh” was selected along with other eight artists was selected as part of the event sponsored by Jersey City Writers “Of Myths and Monsters” events. A part of the 2019 Teacher as Artist group show, Jersey City public school art teachers also used narratives, visual symbols, and painting/mixed media techniques while drawing inspiration from the sea.

I’m really thankful to JC WRiters group and Rachel Poy for giving me the opportunity.

You can watch the live streaming of the event at Jersey City Writers Facebook Page.

Happy blogging!
