Metamorphosis

I call this the necessary
transformation
the inevitable change
the unavoidable incident
when I lay my heart bare
and you ripped it to shreds
I gathered the pieces
weaved a chrysalis out of it
and stayed inside
till I came out as a butterfly
from the battered
caterpillar
you left me to be

      1. Err… it’s just my blog name to let you all know that I believe in miracles even though I only got to read them in stories when I was younger and never faced one myself. My name’s Manidipa. It’s easy to confuse since Charisma can actually be a girl’s name.

        But anyways, the pleasure’s mine.

  1. omg wow this poem spoke to me on so many levels because my blog is called caterpillar-to-butterfly because it also all about growth and learning to love yourself. Absolutely beautiful writing!

  2. Megha, “Metamorphosis” is a poem that embraces possibilities. It’s hopeful, we’re all capable of change, renewal and rebirth, we can remake ourselves and move forward. The intro of your poem is powerful with clever wording, I adore it, brilliant!

  3. I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award. I’m not good at linking, so if you’ll visit my site, you can obtain the questions there. I hope this encourages more visitors and bloggers as your words are beautiful.

      1. Yes, not always changes are either welcomed or accepted fully but I have learned the more you fight these changes in life they more we suffer. But that doesn;t mean giving up in any way.
