Rinse and repeat

“Leave something for someone but don’t leave someone for something.”

You cannot leave me again
you cannot go again
my bruised soul
broken and splintered into million pieces
you can’t scrape my wounds again
You cannot leave me and
go again anymore

There is nothing left to scrape
no more scabs left to pick
you can’t paint your happiness
with your knuckles
dipped in my blood anymore
You cannot leave me and
go again anymore

I have been separated
and snatched from identity
I’ma shapeless blur
roaming with a dejected look
and fallen soul
a blip in eternity
You cannot leave me again
you can not go again
any more

You were the reason for my existence
you can not leave
me meaningless once more
you can not go again
and leave me anymore.

My soul lost its rhythm
and every sound
tuned into a cacophony
you cannot add more voices
to this mayhem
anymore

No, you cannot leave me and
you can not go again
anymore.

  1. These are the painful laments of a soul who immerses themselves in another rather than starting with loving themselves. Thank you for such a raw composition dear lady!

      1. Haha! Madam M …. I think you are far too busy to stalk, write and be a mother! Maybe you don’t sleep much!?
        I opened my blinds a bit more … 😘

  2. Megha, your poem brings forth different thoughts that keep going through the cycle of rinse and repeat. You have written a very emotional view of a relationship torn apart, perhaps by abuse or neglect.
