Colloquy

Megha's World

I stand on the balcony and

look for those fireflies in the garden

dancing and circling

around every blade of grass

lighting it up

with the fire in their bellies

I soak the beauty

in those buzzing insects

in the hope they

can fill up the sadness

imbued in

every corner of my life

The noise and the cacophony

of the thousands of the

air conditioner

hanging like tongues

from a dead body

cooling us and

heating up the anger inside

people look like insects

crawling towards their

home smaller

than their hearts

tonight

the alabaster moon

hangs low tonight in the

heart of the ashen sky

I snub my cigarette and go back

inside in my house

away from this cacophony

where mind

begins its colloquy with the

the deafening silence

I’m at peace again.

Oasis

Megha's World

I love you without knowing how, or when,
or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without
complexities or pride
so I love you because I know no other way than this
where I does not exist, nor you
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

It’s dripping slowly
drop by drop
I’m losing this
elixir of love
bit by bit

It’s fleeting
by every passing
moment
disguised
as a vapor

I’m holding
a sieved heart
with a million of
holes
losing the effervescence
I once had

My throat is parched
my soul is bone dry
I can scrape myself
for eternity
to birth a tear to cry

The warm droplets
has frozen in time
my frigid self
is a bare
outline

As I’m reduced
to my bony self
and begs

Breadcrumbs

Megha's World

“There is no secret left in the fact that I am madly in love with you. My happiness glows on my face and my smile gives it away. I have tried hard but now I can’t do that anymore.”

You left a trail for me to follow
little drops of love and passion
sprinkled here and their
on my soul
every time you touch me
and every time you make me whole
I was too naive to understand
I was too lost in your
words laced with
passion and desire
to know completely and for sure
that you left those
straight to your heart
those breadcrumbs for me to follow
I was too innocent to understand
that every time your fingertip
traces my curves
they are making a map
on my soul
to find that hidden treasure
for me to look for it
and to savor
for the time eternal
and every time…

Indentation

Megha's World

karoline-soares-400147-unsplash.jpgA colorful explosion,

a kaleidoscopic implosion,

a vibrance shattered amongst

the ends of the horizon

and scattered across the galaxy

with its tinge appearing

in every shade

of the sunrise and sunset

painting the crimson laced sky

in the wee hours of the day

the burst of the colors

those glittering and spellbinding

sending the vibration

throughout the galaxy

in a frenzy only to be

experienced by you and me

the way it has been layered

and hidden in the strata

of the earth

and the rising from

the core of its womb

that exuberance and the warmth

is carried by your smile

that little indentation in your skin.

Surreal

Floating and gliding endlessly with my languid self and ephemeral heart bending time like those molten clocks touching that gossamer truth with the touch of my fingertips so fleeting the enchanted filigree living on the edge between the edges of the reality dreaming a dream within a dream When you suspended in the mid-air between the … Continue reading Surreal
