Liebster Award 2018 -Three nominations

LiebsterAward.png

I’m so glad that finally, I’m able to respond to the few nominations for the Liebster award passed on by this wonderful WordPress community which continues to amaze me with their constant love and support. Due to the time limitation and other writing commitments, I am trying to combine three nominations in one post.

So, I have recently been nominated by Lizardin Bain of  The Unoriginal Notes, Paul cannon of the Parallax and Phyllis Holt of the Covert Nationalist for the Liebster Award. Since I’m combining the nominations from three different bloggers I’ll pick the questions equally divided amongst them.

Go check out their wonderful blog!

Now next is the list of the wonderfully curated questions by all three of them which I’ll try to answer with my utmost honesty.

Here they are!

First Four questions from Paul Cannon

Q1. Name your best travel destination.

This is going to be tricky as me and my hubby likes traveling so we travel a lot but I Like going to nature hikes and places with natural beauty more than the hustling bustling city I guess because I live in the middle of one so I want an escape now and then. From our recent visit, based on this parameter I loved visiting Finland, a city of 100,000 lakes.

Q2. What is the most extreme thing you have ever done?

Hmm. I guess the most extreme thing would we when I took the world fastest rollercoaster in the UK. Man, God knows what I was thinking.

Q3. What is the most extreme thing you would like to do? Why?

I would like to do bungee jumping once in my life.

Q4. Who has been the most unusual person you’ve encountered?

Unusual is subjective to me. Guess I still have to meet one.

Next Four questions from Lizardin Bain

Q5. What have you forgotten?

Won’t I be remembering it all again if I try to recall..haha I’m being silly now.

Q6. If you were guaranteed the answer to one question, what would it be?

What is my superpower and how I keep them hidden?

Q7. What’s it like being you right now?

Being me is to like juggle a lot of things at the same time and still keeping the calm and happy face for my kid and family.

Q8.What makes you nostalgic?

I get very nostalgic about the awesome time I had while growing up with my three siblings. We had so much childhood memories but living in a different country from them and so far away makes things trickier.

Last Four questions from Phyllis Holt

Q9. When and why did you start your blog?

I started my blog last year same time in the month of August.Wow..this reminds me my blog’s first anniversary is coming up. I have been writing poems here and there for quite some time but never took it seriously till one day I finally thought of organizing them in the form of a blog and my desperate need to connect with the like-minded people.

Q10.Who has most influenced your life choices?

My father had always had a great influence in my life thought he passed away almost 15 years ago but his teachings and his life lessons has taught me a lot. I owe a lot to my mother too as I have learned the lesson of humility and respect for all creatures from her.

Q11.Where have you spent most of your life and what is good/ bad about living there?

My father was in a job which required a lot of traveling so every 10-11 month we were on the move. So we covered a lot of Northern States in India while growing up before finally setting our roots in the capital city of India, New Delhi. I have lived there almost for 22 years before shifting my base to the United States. Just like any other big city, it has its charm of hustle bustle and lively streets but because of the population density, it was really crowded so commuting by public transport was a real pain.

Q12. What is your favorite food and what makes it so special for you

My favorite food is Aloo paratha made by my mom(haha..Yes I’m biased towards my mom’s cooking). Aloo parathas consist of unleavened dough stuffed with a mixture of mashed potato and spices, which is rolled out and cooked on a hot tawa with butter or ghee. Aloo paratha is usually served with butter, chutney, or Indian pickles in different parts of northern and western India.

Phew, so I finally managed to answer all the questions asked. Those were some amazing questions and  I really enjoyed answering them. Hope you like reading them too!
