Sometimes I just want to
curl up and lie in that fetal position
toes curled and hands clenched
and teeth gritted
veins and hands stretched out in pain
you can trace every vein
on my body
how it carries pain
how the agony makes its way
all over my body
and takes control of it
reigns it supremely
those are the days
when I want to push and shove the
words around my poetry
snuggle between the verses
and sleep in the deep embrace
in the warmth
of my poetry,
of my words
till my soul gets the
deep solace it is looking for.
