How do you measure your life?

By the number of books on your shelf
By the number of degrees under your belt

By the number of years, you have spent under the sun
By the number of lines on your face
By the number of times, you have lived your moments

By the number of hugs you cherished
By the number of kisses on your forehead
By the number of places you have been
By the faces, you have seen

By the number of sunrises, you have woken up to
Or by the loneliness of the dawn, you slept to
By the number of tears rolled down your cheek
By the endless walk on beach

Or by the act of kindness to an unknown face
We all measure our life in different ways
The way you see it defines who you are.
