Recently I was nominated for the Liebster award by a very talented blogger A ray of sunshine. I was very surprised and excited at the same time when I got nominated as I’m very new to this blogging world, so to get a nomination for any kind of award was overwhelming.
I’m really thankful A ray of sunshine for nominating me for this award. Go check out her lovely writings which truly makes her “a ray of sunshine.I’m so blessed to be surrounded by so many talented bloggers in the WordPress community and am completely amazed by their writings by every passing day.
Now coming back to the nomination. I will try my best to answers all the questions asked with all my honesty.
Here they are!
- What does writing mean to you?
Oh Wow! Believe me, I have written a whole post about how much writing means to me or why do we write. For me, writing is very cathartic. It helps me in penning down my thoughts, my emotions, my reactions to any or every situation in a very creative and artistic manner.Every one of us is a writer by heart but the art of mesmerizing others with your personal experience through writing is a gift.
2. How do you inspire yourself for writing?
Anything or everything which moves me in a certain way inspires me. It can be a song, a quote, a random paragraph from the book I’m reading, a sudden change in the day outside. At times just looking at the people I love, inspires me to write.
3. When do you prefer to write, daytime or night?
Mostly I prefer to write during the night-time when I can find some time exclusively and also when the outside noises die down. But I recently wrote something sitting in a noisy restaurant in the middle of the day, so I guess I’m improving 😉
4, What do you prefer, winning a debate or letting the person win for his happiness? Why?
Being a mother I have completely understood the concept of losing the small battles and winning the big wars. But to answer your question more seriously, I guess it depends on the seriousness and the principal of the matter you are debating for.
5. What is your thought regarding the change in our destiny? Can we really change it?
Destiny is a very strong concept. I believe that it’s a mix of both hard work, determination with a dash of luck thrown in. We have read countless stories about people who have worked tirelessly in their life and turned their lives around and got success in the end and some people who failed miserably even they worked hard.
6. According to you, what is the definition of Friend?
A friend is one who stays closest you heart irrespective of the change in events of your life, age, location and time. Someone who stays with you through thick and thin never judges you but still remains your moral compass, your confidante and your partner in crime.
7. Who is your favorite writer/poet? Why?
Alexander McCall Smith. He has written so many series in a different setting and with characters from different parts of the world. The ease with which he transforms his writing style to describe his characters is purely amazing. Go, read one of his books.
8. Whom do you like more, an introvert or an extrovert?
Being an extrovert, I definitely like to interact with people who are easy to communicate and share feeling easily. But at the same time, I like introverts too as they intrigue me and I want to know them better without prodding them too much. Seriously, I like talking to all kinds of people.
9. Anyone of your happy moments (if you want to share).
The birth of my son is the happiest moment in my life. Every moment in the motherhood is a miracle on its own and the lessons of life I have learned being a mother are countless.
10. Name any two of your favorite bloggers and why do you like their writings.
I absolutely love his writing style. The flow in his worlds and the ease he can write about anything or everything under the sun and can still keep you glued till the very end of the post is totally amazing. He is very honest in his writing and it reflects strongly in his works.
I really love his poems. He poems are very simple but very moving at the same time.Simplicity is the keyword while describing his work. He can crack you up with few of his funny poems with the same ease he can bring tears to your eyes with his deep ones.
Phew, so I finally managed to answer all the questions asked. Those were some amazing questions and I really enjoyed answering them. Hope you like reading them too!
