I’m human

I'm human

I refuse to understand the meaning

hidden in the lyrics

I refuse to understand the moral

of the story

I refuse to understand the love hidden

in the dog-eared pages

I'm human

but I'm also a man

I read all the prayers

but I refuse to pray

I visit the funerals and give the

most beautiful eulogy

but I challenge the mortality

everyday

I'm human

but I'm also a man

I paint the masterpieces

but I refuse to understand the pain

I grow the flowers

but I refuse to live

in the presence of ecstasy

I'm human

but I'm also a man

I fall in love again

but refuse to get lost

I'm always looking for company

but I refuse to be the hand

I trade soul for a soul

and still, fall prey to the devil

I'm human

but I'm also a man

I walk the uncharted streets

with the fear of getting lost

but I refuse to be guided

I cry also with an empty heart

but I refuse to share the pain

I age by every passing moment

but I refuse to grow

I'm human

but I'm also a man

I can build castles

but refuse to make a home

I can create mankind

but refuse to save a single soul

I'm human

but I'm also a man
